Asphalt Repair in North Jersey
From hazardous potholes to failed sub-base, our repair crews remove, replace, and compact asphalt to OEM density specs — so the patch lasts and your liability drops. We handle saw-cut patches, infrared seamless repairs, and full-depth sections.
Overview
Potholes, alligator cracking, and ponding water aren't just ugly — they're trip-and-fall lawsuits and vehicle damage claims waiting to happen. Our repair crews diagnose the root cause (surface failure vs. base failure) and match the right repair method to each defect.
We handle everything from quick saw-cut patches and infrared seamless repairs to full-depth reclamation where the sub-base needs rebuilding. Every repair is compacted to spec, so the patch outlasts the surrounding pavement instead of failing in a year.
What's included

Why it matters
Reduces Liability Exposure
Trip-hazard repairs and ADA-compliant patches drop your slip-and-fall claim risk dramatically.
Fixes Root Cause, Not Symptoms
Where the sub-base has failed, we rebuild from the gravel up — not just toss hot mix on top.
Infrared Seamless Repair
For surface defects, infrared bonds new mix into existing asphalt with no cold seam — the longest-lasting patch method.
Compaction-Tested Results
Every patch is rolled and compacted to density spec so it doesn't depress, ravel, or fail prematurely.
Our process
- 1
Site Assessment
We inspect each defect and identify whether it's surface, base, or sub-base failure — different problems need different fixes.
- 2
Saw-Cut & Remove
Failed asphalt is saw-cut to a clean rectangular shape and excavated to solid material below.
- 3
Base Prep
If sub-base is failed, we re-grade and add compacted dense-graded aggregate before paving.
- 4
Tack Coat
Asphalt tack coat is applied to all vertical edges so the new mix bonds to the existing pavement.
- 5
Hot Mix Placement
New asphalt is placed in lifts and raked to match surrounding grade with proper drainage.
- 6
Compaction
Steel-wheel and rubber-tire rollers compact to spec density. Patch is trafficable within hours.
Frequently asked
Should we patch or repave?+
Patching makes sense when failures are isolated. If 25%+ of the lot is failing, full mill-and-overlay is usually more cost effective.
What is infrared asphalt repair?+
Infrared heaters soften existing asphalt so new mix can be raked in with no cold joint — creating a seamless, longer-lasting patch.
How fast can you respond to a pothole?+
Hazardous potholes are typically addressed within 24–72 hours of approval. Larger repairs are scheduled within 1–2 weeks.
